The goal of treatment is to support individuals as they continue to develop healthy eating patterns, heal the emotional issues that trigger eating disorder symptoms, and practice the coping skills necessary to prevent relapse.

Maybe you feel that you are not ready for an assessment…and that’s okay. We accept that choosing the right program can be difficult and we want you to know that we are here to support you. One of the best things you can do is come visit us, meet team members, and see our facility. If you are unable to come visit us in person, please check out the virtual tour of our Partial Hospitalization facility in Matthews, NC. SCHEDULE A TOUR

Intensive Outpatient Program

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is for all individuals suffering from eating disorders and is often used as a step-down from PHP on the road to recovery. IOP is also suitable for individuals who are stable, but need more support than a traditional once-a-week outpatient schedule provides.

IOP engages individuals of all ages in a supportive recovery community for 3 - 5 afternoons a week, depending on an individual’s needs. The program meets for three hours at a time and includes dinner with the other program participants, meal support therapy, and a variety of therapeutic, experiential, and psycho-educational groups.

Depending on the unique treatment plan prescribed, individual and/or family therapy and psychiatric medication management may be provided.

We also work closely with an individual's existing outpatient providers to facilitate continuity of care and a smooth transition back into life after treatment.
